Totally Busted...

Look at that guilty (but sweet) face!

Oreo is, for the most part, a very good dog. She doesn't have accidents in the house and only chews on her toys. She is, as most of you know, somewhat spoiled. And I say "somewhat" because really the only rule we've had to set is that she's NOT allowed on the couch. But as you can see in the photos above, she sometimes breaks that rule. Evidence #1 is ususally the pile of black and white fur left behind. Evidence #2 is often a look of guilt followed by a slow motion roll onto her back (which is basically the dog equivalent of a confession). Granted both of those could be attibuted to other things...like Greg or I tracked the fur onto the couch or the look was not of guilt but just being shy. But now we have photographic evidence!

It's rare that you actually catch her in the act since we're ususally gone at work or out running errands when she decides to "rebel". Not really sure at what point she snuck up to cuddle next to Greg, but there she was looking as sweet (and comfy...and a bit guilty) as can be. Then the other evening Greg had gone to run an errand and Oreo must have forgotten I was still home. The look on her face as she slinked off the couch was priceless.

What a turkey!

This is why we should do laundry every two weeks...

11/18/08 will go down in history...

as the day Greg bowled his first 600 series (625 to be exact). Congrats babe on no longer being a 600 series virgin!

Game 1: 201
Game 2: 202
Game 3: 222

Hey Michael Phelps...have you ever bowled a 600 series?!

Agreed! Would also like to add "on what doesn't kill my feet". Thank goodness flats are so chic and in right now! ;)

Can you believe it?!

Our little puppy turned 3!

The Humane Society held their semi-annual Paws on the Patio event during the week of Halloween so it worked out perfectly to treat Oreo to a birthday dinner at a nice restaurant.

Being so patient...very mature of her (this is a rarity)

Since she was 21 in dog years, Greg thought it was only fitting that she try some beer. She wasn't a big fan...

And the Winner is...

PCI goes all out for Halloween. They hold a department decorating contest and a pumpkin carving/decorating contest. Also, almost everyone in the office dresses up and there are so many creative people working there that the costumes are very clever and funny. I dressed as The Tooth Fairy complete with wings, tutu, and tooth shaped purse filled with toothbrushes, floss, and Splenda packets.

We only had to work a half day on Friday and then the company hosted a bowling party which was lots of fun. I did bring my own bag, ball, and shoes which meant, of course, that I had to explain to people that I was not some kind of "ringer" and that I only had that stuff because of the company Greg worked for. Most did not believe me until they saw me bowl ;)

The highlight of the afternoon was...drum roll please...that I won "Cutest Costume"!!! For those who know me and my competive nature that was a very exciting and satisfying moment! Where I used to work, those casting the votes didn't seem to get that good Halloween costumes could also be cute and creative...they seemed to always vote for whatever was "scary" and I don't do "scary" and therefore did not ever win! :( But the fact that PCI has three catagories for their costume contest ("scary", "most in character", and "cutest") just adds another thing to the list of why I love working there!

Tauny went as "A Lame Excuse". She carried a cane and had really random & lame excuses written and taped on her outfit like: "There's a duck in my room and I don't know what to do" and "I'm naked and stuck in a bear trap".
