So the first night at home was fun and by fun I mean we didn't sleep much. We are still getting used to Carson and his noises. He managed to keep us on our toes all night and he didn't really sleep much until the next morning. Here is a video I shot the next morning of Carson finally getting his beauty sleep.

The Journey Home
So finally Jennelle and Carson were released to go home on Tuesday. Carson's glucose levels were a little low for a while so they kept us an extra day to make sure that everything was OK. He is good now. We have two doctor's appointments tomorrow, so if anything is out of the ordinary we will find out then. He has been acting fine, so I think we will be good to go. He has been a real joy so far...as long as we are not changing his diaper!! Here are a few pics of the journey home. Enjoy!

A New Post for a New Addition
Carson Edward Berger has arrived!! He was born Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 5:05 am. He was two weeks to the day early, but good thing because he came out at a whopping 8lb 3oz and was 20.5" long with a full head of hair. Both Jennelle and Carson are doing well. We are going to be in the hospital until tomorrow, because yesterday Carson's glucose levels were low and they wanted to watch him an extra day to make sure that everything was OK. Here are some pictures of our little man! If you want to see more, they are posted on my Facebook page.

Celebrating 4 Years
On Friday night we went out for dinner at Silo. It was delicious! And thanks to Greg's phone I was able to enjoy yummy crab cakes...gotta love being able to verify food do's and don'ts!
Afterwards we played a round of mini-golf and I totally kicked Greg's butt ;)

Birthday Celebrations
Based on the amount of get-togethers to celebrate, you would have thought I was turning the big 3-0 this year. Just shows you I have some great friends :) I guess 29 is pretty significant seeing as it's the last year of a decade when lots of important milestones happened and will happen. It definitely is strange to think that this is the last year I will be in my twenties but I have been feeling more grown up lately...what with expecting a baby and all ;)
Greg treated me to a lovely dinner at Maggiano's and his gift to me was a certificate for professional prenatal photos...very sweet and thoughtful of him!
Since we don't have a lot of photos with Greg and the bump...

Baby Bump Ready for an Evening on the River Walk (26 Weeks)
The girls at work know how much I love "The Office" so they decorated my office with character photos and fun quotes. (I almost didn't post these due to the messiness of my office...there is a method to the madness and it just proves how busy I am!)

Labor Day Weekend 2009
Another fun weekend at the lake! Oreo got a new lake toy and had fun breaking it in.

The dogs all got along except for one incident. Maddie had a great time licking up the drippings from the chicken Dad was smoking and didn't seem to notice that they continued to drip on her head. This made her smell really good to Oreo who then tried to sniff Maddie's head which she didn't like one bit and showed it by going all Mike Tyson on Oreo: the tussle resulted in a small puncture wound on her neck and a small slice out of her ear. Here's our little Evander Holyfield playing the pitiful card after being cleaned up.

Baby's First...
Still in the womb, our little one has already experienced some pretty cool, fun, and significant “firsts”.
First Live Musical: Wicked (13 Weeks)

First Photo with Shamu at SeaWorld (21 Weeks)
First Concert: Coldplay (12 Weeks)

(don't let the empty stands fool you...the stadium was packed! People were sitting on the grass along the sides...thank goodness my parents have season tickets!)
Here are some Baby Belly photos at 24 weeks. The bump has definitely turned into more of a hill and has grown a lot since the 20 weeks milestone. See for yourself by checking out some earlier blog posts!

Here's my door at work. Suzanne and CJ came up with cute idea for the "Baby Belly Meter"...we've been marking it every two weeks. Deb (who heads up our design department) created the cute "PCI Reproducible" sign for all the ladies in the pregger posse (there are 4 of us now!). It's a play on something from our products...if teachers are allowed to photo copy a page from one of our books it has at the bottom a similar little icon (but with an "R" inside) and the words "PCI Reproducible".
Another significant "first" at 23 weeks was I definitely started to feel our little guy kick...and Greg was able to as well! A few of them have been so powerful that I could see my belly spasm just ever so slightly where he was moving. It's such a fun, amazing, and incredible feeling...we both love it! :)
