Better Late Than Never Posts :)

In October we attended our 5 year college reunion (can you believe it's been that long!?). Jennelle's best friend Ashley came into town and they had tons of fun visiting campus and attending alumni events. Since all visits to San Antonio must center around food...after all we are the fattest city in America, we ate at some of our favorite college hangouts. We also attended our graduation class party at the Tower....lame. Gretchen, Jeanette, and their hubbies all came into town as well and it was great to catch up with everyone!




In early October we attended our friend Jered's wedding in DC. The weekend was also a mini-Trinity Engineer reunion. We flew up on October 1, our anniversary...dinner consisted of drive thru McD's, very romantic. We spent the next couple of days touring the nation's capital with our good friends. While we've been to DC before, the monuments and beautiful architecture are always impressive. We did have a few "firsts": going up in the Washington monument to take in the amazing views and visiting the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum close to Dulles. The museum has a collection of much larger aircraft including the Enola Gay, the shuttle Enterprise, and an SR-71 Blackbird.

Wow, I knew she was a famous singer and actress but who knew Beyonce was also an astronaut!?

The extended visit also allowed time for us to have brunch with Alex and attend a BBQ hosted by the bride and groom at their home. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was tons of fun. Congrats to Jered and Beverly!

We spent Labor Day weekend with Jennelle's family at their lakehouse. Since Meredith and Spencer now live in the Houston area they were able to join us! Oreo had lots of fun swimming and retrieving tennis balls though she hasn't gotten as brave as Nick's lab Holly who jumps off the dock.
